I have been thinking again recently that I really need to overhaul this site as it is looking old again. I have also been thinking that I have never really found the right balance with my blog, I can't decide if I should blog about technical and web bits like a mate of mine Phil or if I should just ... At the weekend we attempted to get hand and foot prints from Isaac to go into his red record book. We had mixed results but they look OK. Isaac is doing very well still growing and smiling a lot. Only 2 days now until his first Christmas, how exciting!
Here is the video of the hand a foot prints.

OK so I have not been as good as I was hoping I would be at posting photos of Isaac. Finally here are some more photos of the little man. These are all from week three to week nine.
Both Faye and I are starting to get the hang of this parenting lark. Isaac is doing really well he is 13lb1 now and growing well. In the last week he has started... (more)

So it has happened. Faye gave birth to a lovely baby boy on Monday 15th September 2008 at 10:31pm. He weighed 8lb9 and we have named him Isaac Russell Wood.
The first week has been busy and tiring, but Isaac and Faye are both well. Here are some photos for you all, as lots of people have been asking me for some. I will try to give regular upd... (more)

As most of you know Faye my wife is expecting our first born today. For those that didn't know, you know now. We have our car seat now, a nice Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix in Trail colour. Tonight we should get our pushchair, a Phil & Teds Sport in Apple Green. Also we have our nice fluffy Bamboo reusable nappies, which are cool.

In the first 2 weeks of October this year Faye and I fulfilled a long time ambition and visited Peru. I have been meaning to post the pictures of out holiday since we got back. Finally I have found the time to do so. Here is a small selection of some of the 466 photos I took while we were out there. I have only uploaded a few for now but I will add... (more)

For yes, I have caved to the might of HD DVD... or rather, some bloke I work with wanted to sell a drive he tried - and failed - to use with his PC (but works fine with my new iMac, mwahahaha).

For a long time, my favourite tech site, Ars Technica, has been rightly criticized for covering Microsoft and Apple in great depth (as to which of these they are accused of focusing on... well, that seems to vary month to month ;), but not covering Open Source or Linux to any great extent.

Cheaper on the PC, possibly even less buggy.
So why, especially given my past posting on the "death" of OS X, would I buy this game on the Mac?
I have a shiny, relatively new, PC that plays all games I could ever dream of (I just acquired Outrun 2006 on it, because they don't provide an Xbox 360 version, da... (more)
